South Korean Jin volunteered with TDV to help earthquake victims in Hatay

South Korean Dae Jin, who came to Türkiye to participate in humanitarian aid activities after the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquake, helped earthquake victims in Hatay as a volunteer of the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) for 8 days.

After the 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, South Korean Dae Jin came to Türkiye with his resources, after a two-day journey, joined the aid efforts of the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation in Hatay. Jin, who helped the earthquake victims in Hatay for 8 days with TDV, stated that he tried to do whatever he could to help the Turkish people.

“I tried to help the Turkish people as much as I could here by myself”

Jin expressed sadness over the earthquakes and said, “I tried to help the Turkish people as much as I could on my own. I’m glad I was able to help with something” 

Yavuz Yanmaz, Branch Manager of Ümraniye Mufti’s Office of the Presidency of Religious Affairs and a volunteer of the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, emphasized that he worked together with Jin from South Korea in the earthquake zone and that he helped them with many cases and said, “Our South Korean friend Jin came to Hatay from his country with his means and whatever work we were doing, he did with us. In our logistics center, they worked sacrificially and voluntarily to unload trucks and carry supplies. He was a loyal friend, he did not leave us alone on this difficult day. He did not forget the work of the Turkish soldiers in South Korea and came running to Türkiye. For 8 days, he helped our earthquake victims together with us. Yanmaz used “I thank him” to express his gratitude towards Jin.
