Turkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) also provided electricity to the people of the region with the generators used in the water wells it drilled in the West African country of Benin.<\/p>\n
TDV teams opened 15 water wells in rural areas north of Benin as part of the Ramadan activities.<\/p>\n
The teams used solar energy in some water wells, depending on the situation in the area, and then activated generators in villages where there was no electricity.<\/p>\n
As a result, citizens who had never had electricity in their settlements were able to achieve electricity.<\/p>\n
the 2nd Chairman of the Board of Trustees of TDV, Ihsan A\u00e7\u0131k, said that in Benin, citizens are struggling with hunger, poverty, and thirst.<\/p>\n
Pointing out that there is no electricity in the countryside, A\u00e7\u0131k noted:<\/p>\n
“There are all kinds of absences. There’s not a lot of things we say, ‘How could it be, is that there?’ First of all, There’s no water. There is no electrical world here. We tried to build our wells with solar power first to at least draw water, but we found that in some areas there is a need for generators. By generator, we don’t mean just draw water. At least to provide electricity to the place where the Quran course is, the mosque. We try to create projects that will ensure its continuity. We’ve started work on the generator. There will be a new beauty in order to be able to draw more easily and provide lighting around it.”<\/p>\n
“We live without electricity,” said Ahmadou Djaalo, a resident of the region, stressing that they are struggling with many problems. We’re getting water from miles away. May Almighty Allah bless you.
