The Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV), in cooperation with the Presidency of Religious Affairs, continues to offer hope to the needy both in our country and around the world.
Izani Turan, the General Manager of the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, shared information about the donations received in 2024. He said that they received 2 million 55 thousand 709 donations from 1 million 254 thousand 457 donors. With these donations, TDV was able to reach 55 million 171 thousand 42 needy people 2024.
Izani Turan, the General Manager of TDV, highlighted that the foundation ensures zakat donations are distributed transparently and securely. He mentioned, ‘Our foundation delivers the zakat entrusted by our donors in Türkiye and 149 countries to the oppressed and needy, especially focusing on education, under the principles of our faith.”
Turan shared details about the Zakat Calculation Module, created with the support of the High Council for Religious Affairs, to help donors easily calculate and donate their zakat: “Through our zakat calculation application and the website zekat.tdv.org, donors can easily calculate their zakat and make their donations online. This system streamlines the donation process while ensuring trust and security for our donors.”
Turan, presenting the donation statistics for 2024, remarked that trust in TDV is steadily increasing. He noted that in 2024, they collected donations from 1,254,457 donors, totaling 2,055,709 donations, reaching the needy. Highlighting the significance of zakat donations, Turan also emphasized the strong response in this regard, saying: “This year, we received zakat donations from 146,132 donors. These figures represent a valuable picture that showcases our society’s spirit of cooperation and solidarity.
