The Konya branch of the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) has sent off three trailers loaded with humanitarian aid for the needy in Sudan and Somalia.
During the send-off event in front of the Panorama Konya Museum, Konya Deputy Mufti Kuddusi Uysal remarked that the long-lasting conflicts in Sudan and Somalia have claimed thousands of lives.
Uysal explained that people in the region are experiencing difficult times due to famine and drought, saying, “Our government has planned to send aid by ship under the coordination of AFAD, and it was deemed appropriate for TDV to contribute to this ship.”
Uysal mentioned that as the TDV Konya branch, they had prepared 3 trucks with 2,475 food packages, supported by 31 district mufti offices and citizens. After the speeches, the trucks filled with food supplies bid farewell with Dua.
