The Turkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) continues its charitable activities in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) for Ramadan.
The Presidency of Religious Affairs and TDV donated 500 packages of food to the TRNC.
In addition to food packages, children also received sugar and balloons.
The foundation announced that during Ramadan, iftar will be offered at the Hala Sultan Mosque in Nicosia on Monday and Wednesday, and food aid will continue throughout the TRNC.
Head of the department of TDV Information and Communication Systems Mustafa Çekiç stated that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President of religious Affairs Ali Erbaş from Turkiye send greetings to citizens in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Çekiç explained that the TDV carried out iftar programs and relief campaigns in the oppressed regions of the world and also mentioned that they had carried out charity activities in the TRNC in this context.
A written statement from TDV on Ramadan activities noted that:
“We see it as a debt to ourselves to deliver the consigned we receive from our nation to our brothers and sisters around the world, from Africa to the Balkans, Asia to Latin America, and in this sense, we strive to overcome all difficulties. Within the scope of the Ramadan Program, which we organized with the theme of ‘Hoped For One Is You’ this year, we deliver the rations we have prepared in 83 countries of the world to our brothers and sisters and try to experience the joy of Eid-Fitr with Bairam clothes for orphans. There is no difference between Turkiye, our homeland, which we love more than our lives, and the land where our brothers live.
