President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş said, “It is really very important for us that our Palestinian brothers and sisters support Türkiye to such an extent and we will always remember this.”
President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş came together with Palestine Minister of Foundations and Religious Affairs Hatem Mohammed Helmy Abdulsamie Al-Bakri, Ambassador of Palestine to Ankara Faed Mustafa, and the accompanying delegation.
Expressing his thanks to Minister Al-Bakri and the delegation for their visit, President Erbaş stated that the Miraj incident always reminds us of al-Quds by celebrating the past Lailat al-Miraj.
Al-Bakri: “We wanted to stand by Türkiye”
Stating that they started an aid campaign in Palestine immediately after the earthquakes with the order of Prime Minister of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas, Minister of Foundations and Religious Affairs of Palestine Hatem Mohammed Helmy Abdulsamie Al-Bakri said that the Palestinian people would like to stand by Türkiye with this aid.
Expressing that they collected aid in all mosques in Palestine, Minister Al-Bakri stated that they also offered funeral prayers in absentia for the citizens who lost their lives in the earthquake.
Uttering that the Palestinian people showed great kindness to the aid campaign and that the ladies helped to the extent of their jewelry, Minister Al-Bakri said, “Our principle is not to leave our Muslim brothers and sisters alone, this is more important for us.
“The Almighty Allah (swt) will open better doors for you”
Stating that they have not forgotten Türkiye’s contributions to the rights and cause of Palestine over the past century, Minister al-Bakri continued: “I am talking about a Muslim country, a nation that is with us in every circumstance. We would like to show as much as we can that we stand by our Muslim brothers and sisters in these difficult times. Inshallah, the Turkish state will safely overcome this crisis. Inshallah, The Almighty Allah (swt) will open better doors for you and Türkiye will come out stronger in this sense. As the Palestinian state, we would like to stand by Türkiye in these difficult times.”
President Erbaş: “Let us never lose the affection between us”
President of Religious Affairs Erbaş said, “It does not matter if our Palestinian brothers and sisters give us their jewelry, their approach, and attitude are more important than millions of dollars. As long as we never lose this affection and compassion between us.”
“With the unity and solidarity of our nation, we will heal our wounds as soon as possible.”
Pointing out that the troubles experienced will be overcome in a short time and that Türkiye’s cooperation with Palestine will continue to be strengthened without interruption, President Erbaş said as “We will heal the wounds of this earthquake as soon as possible with your duas, support and the unity and solidarity of our nation inshallah.”
President Erbaş made the following evaluations, “It is really very important for us that our Palestinian brothers and sisters support Türkiye to such an extent and we will not forget this. Our hearts beat together. When it comes to al-Quds, when it comes to Masjid al-Aqsa, that feeling in the Turkish nation has always been at the top and will always continue to be at the top.”
Following the speeches, Minister Al-Bakri presented President Erbaş with the aid collected by the Palestinians for the citizens affected by the earthquake.
At the visit, the Vice President of Religious Affairs Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selim Argun and General Director of Foreign Affairs Relations Mahmut Özdemir were also present.
