Stationery materials and school uniforms, financed by the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV), were delivered to needy children in the blockaded Gaza Strip.
During the event organized under the theme of the “Back to School Project,” the distribution of school bags containing stationery and school uniforms was carried out by the non-governmental Salam Solidarity and Development Association.
Association Manager Ömer Said said, “With the support of the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, stationery, bags and school uniforms were distributed to the students within the scope of the clothing project.”
Said mentioned that within the scope of the project, it is aimed to distribute the assistance in coordination with the Ministry of Education to over a thousand orphaned and needy students in five provinces in the Gaza Strip.
Stating that these aid would support the determined stance of the Palestinian people, Said praised the noble positions of the Turkish people, government and TDV.
The Chairman of the Association’s Board of Committee, Yakub Süleyman, stated, “Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) extends a helping hand to orphaned and needy students all over the world, especially in the Gaza Strip.”
Süleyman conveyed that Salam Association has implemented projects financed by TDV, including the distribution of Qurbani meat and financial aid, this year to aid needy Palestinians in Gaza.
Noting that TDV does not hesitate to provide support, especially in education, Süleyman appreciated the role of the Turkish people, government and institutions in supporting the determination of the Palestinians.
