Volunteers who took part in the Qurbani on Behalf program organized by the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation not only performed Qurbani slaughters and distributions across different regions of Ethiopia but also brought happiness to children with various gifts.
Because of the internal conflict in the country, the distribution of Qurbani was briefly suspended in the Mekele region, but this year, with the assistance of benefactors, it has been included once again among the slaughter points.
Officials and volunteers from the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) visited the village of Necaşi on the eve and first day of the Eid, exchanging Eid greetings with families and presenting children with Eid gifts, as well as treats like candies and balloons.
With the slogan “Share your Qurbani, get closer to your brother,” TDV will distribute Qurbani shares to needy people in 79 countries this year. In Ethiopia, they will distribute 42,500 shares across 34 different regions nationwide.
