TDV continues to carry out Qurbani slaughters for Palestinians in Egypt as part of the Qurbani on Behalf program.

The Presidency of Religious Affairs and the Türkye  Diyanet Foundation held a Qurbani on Behalf program under the slogan “Share Your Qurbani, Get Closer to Your Brother,” not only in Türkiye but also in 79 countries.

TDV officials and volunteers in Egypt have been overseeing the slaughter of Qurbanies donated by donors to be distributed to Palestinians since the first day of Eid al-Adha.

The meat from Qurbanies slaughtered in Cairo, Ismailia, Ebusimbel, and Gona regions is being transported to integrated facilities for packaging after being loaded onto refrigerated vehicles. The meat, packaged here in two-kilogram portions, is then stored in cold storage facilities.

“No delays have occurred thus far”

Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı Müşaviri Mehmet Bilgin, who conducted inspections at the facility where Qurbanies are slaughtered and cold storage facilities are located in the Ismailia region, stated in his remarks that they continue the Qurbanies slaughter to be delivered to the Palestinian people.

Bilgin emphasized that there have been no delays in their programs so far, saying, “We have examined the slaughter sites and the storage warehouses for the meat. We are conducting our operations with our team. After the Qurbanies are slaughtered, the meat is packaged and stored in a very sanitary environment. Our priority is to quickly deliver this meat to our Palestinian sibling.”
