The Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) has completed student interviews held in Accra, the capital of Ghana, as part of its international scholarship program, following a two-day program.

Around 80 students were interviewed individually under the Diyanet Scholarships framework. Candidates were evaluated based on their communication skills, general knowledge, religious background, and their proficiency in Qur’anic memorization and recitation.

Mehmet Emin Uslu, TDV Representative and a member of the interview panel, highlighted that the scholarship program contributes significantly to international student mobility. He noted that selection processes are conducted annually in various countries, including Ghana this year.

Uslu described the Accra program as both intensive and productive, stating that approximately 80 students were assessed comprehensively over the course of two days.

He emphasized that, in addition to academic qualifications, factors such as self-confidence, communication ability, and social awareness are also taken into account during the selection process.

According to Uslu, candidates identified through the interviews will be submitted to the headquarters for final evaluation, and successful applicants will be granted the opportunity to study in Türkiye.
