Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) slaughtered 3,650 Qurbani in Niger as part of the delegated Qurbani organization.

Under the theme “Share your Qurbani, get closer to your brother,” the 2024 Qurbani slaughter organization, jointly organized by the Presidency of Religious Affairs and TDV, has concluded with the Qurbanni slaughter and distribution efforts of TDV volunteers arriving from Türkiye and other countries to Niger.

In an initiative organized by foundation officials across 30 locations nationwide, 3,650 cattle were slaughtered. Teams distributed 25,550 portions of Qurbani meat to needy families  in Niger.

Muhammed Furkan Özkan, Coordinator of TDV in Niger, mentioned that they have successfully finalized the Qurbani campaign they began a week ago in Niger.

Özkan stated that they conducted this effort with around 40 volunteers from Türkiye and various countries who came to Niger, expressing their joy at organizing such a significant initiative in Niger, one of the world’s poorest nations.

Özkan highlighted that people in Africa’s marginalized areas had a more enjoyable Eid with TDV, stating, “The donations from the Turkish people reached the oppressed. We thank all our donors and pray that Allah rewards them.”

Özkan explained that every aspect was carefully considered in the Qurbani activities, emphasizing that the Qurbanes were slaughtered according to Islamic regulations. He added that the Qurbanie meat was distributed with the same attention to detail.
