
As part of the “Qurbani on Behalf Organization” initiated by the Presidency of Religious Affairs (DİB) and the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV), Qurbani meats are being distributed throughout various regions of Georgia.
As part of the “Qurbani on behalf Organization” led by DİB and TDV, with the cooperation of the Administration of All Muslims of Georgia, Qurbani animals were slaughtered across various regions of Georgia.
The meat of Qurbani has started to be distributed to the needy in the Kvemo Kartli region of the country.
Mahmut Göl, Religious Affairs Counselor at Türkiye’s Embassy in Tbilisi, along with Etibar Eminov, Mufti of Muslims in Eastern Georgia, Yaşar Kandil, Chief Inspector of the TDV, Ibrahim Öcüt, former Mufti of Çanakkale Province, and Mehmet Taşcı, Mufti of Adana Province, participated in the distribution of Qurbani meats in Marneuli, Rustavi, and the village of Sadakhlo.
Göl, who was involved in the distribution of the meat, stated that the Presidency of Religious Affairs (DİB) and the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) have performed Qurbani in nearly 150 countries worldwide. He added, “Our people voluntarily send the cost of the Qurbani to those countries.”
Göl noted that, in cooperation with the Administration of All Georgia Muslims in Georgia, Qurbani meats will be distributed to the needy in villages and cities across the country.
Göl noted that they conveyed the love and greetings of the Turkish people along with Qurbani meat to needy families in Georgia, and thanked everyone who contributed to this organization.
Göl reminded that Palestinian Muslims in Gaza are enduring severe conditions under Israel’s attacks, and he wished that Eid al-Adha would bring peace and tranquility to the Palestinian people.
Göl conveyed that a total of 160 cattle Qurbani animals will be slaughtered across Georgia.
