Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) distributed Qurbani meat to nearly one million needy people in Somalia with the support of donors within the scope of the 2023 Qurbani organization.
Ömer Faruk Arslan, the Religious Services Counselor at the Turkish Embassy in Mogadishu, stated in his announcement that they had completed the Qurbani slaughter, on behalf, as part of TDV’s organization.
Arslan mentioned that they made efforts to distribute the Qurbani meat to needy families, particularly those living in camps in Somalia. He further stated that they reached approximately one million families during the three-day organization held in Mogadishu and eight other cities.
On the other hand, Abdulkadir Sylka, the head of TDV’s Somali Qurbani Organization team, stated, “We have completed our volunteer mission in Somalia within the scope of TDV’s 2023 Qurbani Organization, on behalf. We express our gratitude for the benevolence entrusted on their behalf to TDV. Indeed, the Qurbani tradition, just like every year, served as a meaningful occasion for the hearts of Turkish people to connect with the world’s oppressed people.”
