TDV delivers 517 trailers of  aid materials to the earthquake zone

The Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) delivered 517 trailers of relief materials to the earthquake-affected areas.

Within the scope of the aid campaign launched with the slogan “It Is Time For The Charity Of Türkiye” after the Kahramanmaraş-based earthquakes, the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation sent 517 trailers and 165 trucks of relief materials to the provinces affected by the earthquake. 

79,720 pieces of shelter materials including tents, quilts, blankets, and pillows were shipped to the region. The number of aid trailers sent to earthquake zones is increasing rapidly.

Soup, hot food, meals, canned food, bread, tea, and water were sent to the earthquake region and food and nutrition aid was provided to 1 million 498 thousand 280 people. Mosques, Qur’an courses, dormitories, training centers, and guesthouses were transformed into temporary shelter centers, and temporary accommodation was available for 78,500 people.

In addition to the mobile kitchen vehicle, aid was delivered to the earthquake victims with 515 vehicles including service, catering, and coordination vehicles. 

17 thousand 299 personnel are working in the region

17 thousand 299 personnel consisting of search and rescue, humanitarian aid, and officials of the Presidency of Religious Affairs are working in the region. Religious officials, and personnel, including Qur’an course teachers, also carry out burial, Taqfin, and equipment. 

49 aid collection centers have been set up in muftis and branches in the earthquake region and training centers in other provinces.

TDV’s 51,048 volunteers support humanitarian aid efforts

The Foundation’s volunteers play an important role in this process of delivering humanitarian aid. 1,048 volunteers of the Foundation in earthquake regions and 50,000 volunteers in other provinces who provide logistical support for the delivery of humanitarian aid to disaster areas support the work. 

A total of 51,048 volunteers are involved in the Foundation’s humanitarian work.
