In Sudan, the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) is continuing its Qurbani on Behalf and distribution of meat to the needy.
As part of the 2024 Qurbani on Behalf Organization with the theme “Share Your Qurbani, Get Closer to Your Brother,” organized by the Presidency of Religious Affairs and the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, the slaughter of 1,500 cattle animals will be completed today.
In Sudan, where Qurbani slaughter is carried out in two different regions, 1,000 cattle animals will be slaughtered in Atbara city, and 500 cattle will be slaughtered in Kesele city.
In addition, the Qurbani slaughter will be recorded on video, and footage of the moment of slaughter will be forwarded to owners on their behalf upon request.
Following the slaughtering, the Qurbani meats are delivered to needy families via aid serving the area.
Ahmet Hilal, the team leader of TDV in Sudan, mentioned that they have slaughtered the Qurbani donated by benefactors with a team of seven and will finish the ongoing slaughters in two regions today to deliver them to needy families.
