The water well opened in Mali by the Manisa Demirci Branch of Turkiye Diyanet Foundation was named to district governor Ibrahim Ethem Akinci, one of the National Struggle heroes.
Yahya Celik, the representative of the Demirci Branch of the Turkiye Diaynet Foundation, stated that the water well was drilled to cure the remedy thirst in Mali with the donations collected in the district.
Celik stated that the well was named after Ibrahim Ethem Akinci, commander of the Demirci Raiders who fought against the enemy in the region during the independence war and thanked the charitable.
District Mufti Ibrahim Sağlam stated that they continued their charitable services through our foundation and said, “We made sure that governor Ibrahim Ethem Akıncı’s name was kept alive thereby drilling a water well on behalf of him”. The miniature of the well was sent to our institution. We will exhibit this miniature to the Demirci Akıncılar Heroic Corner in our district.”
