SIRAJ WAHHAJ
He was born in the Brooklyn borough of New York and came from a Christian family. He is a good student who regularly attended church in his teens. Despite his youthful age, he even teaches at the Baptist church. In 1969, he left the church and chose Islam by joining the Nation of Islam in America, a powerful movement of African-American people. In 1975, he parted ways with this movement and chose the path of Ahl-Sunnah. the milestone in Jeffrey’s life begins from this date. In 1978, he studied in Mecca and changed his name to Siraj Wahhaj, which means “bright light”.
After some time, he Bought a clothing store and used it with the name of Masjid at-Taqwa. Siraj Wahhaj still teaches Arabic in this mosque and informs people about Islamic issues. Thanks to the drug shift for 40 days and 40 nights, many dens in Brooklyn were closed, and he received the commendation of the New York police for this.
