According to reports, the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) has delivered 52 aid trucks to the Gaza Strip, including food packages, hygiene kits, flour, and tents.
Fatih Kayacan, the Deputy Director General of TDV, stated that the 52 truckloads of humanitarian aid sent by TDV donors have departed from Cairo, Egypt, heading towards the Gaza Strip.
Kayacan noted that the humanitarian aid to be delivered in holy Ramadan includes 20 trucks of flour, 20 trucks of food parcels, 10 trucks of hygiene packages, and the rest are tents.
Kayacan mentioned that TDV has delivered nearly 22 million dollars in aid to Gaza since October 7, 2023, and added, “Since that date, TDV has consistently carried out daily activities such as distributing hot meals, water, and bread in Gaza, and, Insha’Allah, the donations of the Turkish people will be sent to Gaza just before the holy Ramadan.”
Kayacan, on this occasion, expressed his deep gratitude to the Turkish people who entrusted these donations to TDV to be delivered to Gaza, and remarked, “TDV will reliably continue to send their donations to the oppressed people of Gaza. As TDV, we have been present in Gaza since October 7 and have been continuously carrying out our activities there.”
According to Kayacan, today’s event was held to raise awareness ahead of the holy Ramadan, and he assured that the aid will persist.
