The Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) has brought together more than 2 million people in 149 countries with the support of benefactors, especially the needy families in 81 provinces and 922 districts in our country, with 265 million TL of Zakat.
TDV continues to sustain domestic and international aid activities, operating in areas ranging from education to social activities, housing, food, and emergency humanitarian aid to support religious life activities.
Abdurrahman Cetin, Deputy General Manager of the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, declares TDV has been carrying out important work for 47 years.
Clarifying that they are next to the needy people with 1003 branches in the country, Çetin stated, “Our foundation actively carries out this service also in 149 countries, crisis regions, and other geographies where there is a need abroad.”
Stating that TDV has been working on Zakat in Türkiye and 149 countries, Çetin said that they continue to operate the activities without interruption.
Zakat is distributed to 2 million people
Çetin stated that they reached needy, helpless people
in many geographies, and noted:
“Zakats are used in geographies such as Arakan, Yemen, and Palestine. TDV collected 265 million Zakat in the first 11 months of the year, distributed it to the needy, and continues to distribute it. Of course, more than 2 million people, families, students, and individuals have benefited and will continue to benefit from them. The area where zakat is used is large. In Türkiye and abroad, in educational activities, humanitarian crises, hunger, and poverty, we use all of these as an operative. Of course, there are also conditional donations from our donors. There are donations delivered to the address such as ‘Zakat Yemen’, ‘Zakat Arakan’, and ‘Zakat Education. We’re doing a great job when you set it all together.”
