The Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) delivered food aid to 800 struggling families in Uzbekistan before the holy Ramadan.

As part of its holy Ramadan initiatives, the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) provided food aid, which was handed over by Mahmut Türk, the Religious Services Counselor at the Turkish Embassy in Tashkent, to representatives of the “Vaqf Solidarity Fund” and the Uzbekistan Turkish National Culture Center for distribution to the needy.

Reports indicate that 700 of the 800 prepared food packages will be delivered to the needy in the Karakalpakstan region, while 100 will be provided to low-income Ahıska Turks.

In his statement, Religious Services Counselor Mahmut Türk mentioned that 800 food packages were prepared for families in Uzbekistan before the holy Ramadan to enrich their tables, contribute to their meals, and promote the spirit of sharing.

Mirjalal Kasimov, a representative of the Foreign Relations Department at the Vaqf Solidarity Fund, highlighted TDV’s long-standing tradition of assisting needy Uzbek families with food aid before holy Ramadan and he conveyed his appreciation to Türkiye for this humanitarian aid.

Flour, sunflower oil, rice, pasta, tea, and sugar are among the dry food products included in the packages.
