Türkiye Diyanet Foundation seeks benevolence pioneers

Türkiye Diyanet Foundation has started to accumulate stories of appreciation for the people who have pioneered goodness and will receive awards at the “7 INTERNATIONAL BENEVOLENCE AWARDS” ceremony.
The Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) has started preparations to realize the 7th “International Benevolence Awards” launched in 2015 to spread, announce and raise awareness of goodness.
It was announced that an international awards ceremony, organized by the Foundation, which, in co-operation with the Presidency of Religious Affairs, identifies with goodness in the world, has started to gather the unusual stories of individuals who have spearheaded good, especially Türkiye, around the world.
Izani Turan, General Manager of the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, presented the foundation with an update on preparations for the annual International Goodness Awards and the ceremony, which is held annually in March.
General Manager Turan noted that the International Benevolence Awards, the first of which was held in 2015 and will be held for the 7th time in March 2023, within the scope of the 40th anniversary of the foundation, has become a brand.
“Our colleagues at the commission have started collecting stories from our 1,003 branches, from organizations that we cooperated with domestically and abroad, from candidates’ proposals to be sent to our web addresses, and the benevolence pioneers’ stories that are examined on the media and social media. The stories of benevolence to be collected in the fields of education, science, humanitarian aid, health, and environment will be evaluated in this context and put through a pre-selection. Turan stated that the nomination process will be carried out meticulously because they believe that every goodness done has value. Stating that they want to bring to the forefront the pioneers of goodness who can be an example to the world and the societies they live in with the ‘International Benevolence Awards ceremony, which has become traditional, Turan continued as follows:
“It is important for us to stitch up society and reward the benevolence pioneers who weave permanent marks in people’s hearts. Our Holy book, the Quran, states, ‘Can the reward of goodness be any other than goodness? As Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, which has been bringing goodness to the world, especially to our country, for nearly half a century, our aim with the International Benevolence Awards is to inform the world how goodness has become the hope of millions of people and can make a difference.”
Turan stated that the appreciated stories of the pioneers of benevolence, who break new ground in the world and in the society they live in, bring together different cultures through benevolence, mobilize the society, inspire those around the world, and will surround the whole world, can be sent to the e-mail address “iyilikodulleri@tdv.org” until December 19, 2022. Turan noted that the awards will be offered by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at a ceremony to be held at the Beştepe Presidential Complex People’s Congress and Culture Center in March 2023, to the pioneers of benevolence, deemed appropriate as a result of the evaluation of the jury.
