Uyghur Turks living in Türkiye support humanitarian aid efforts in Kahramanmaras, the epicenter of the earthquake.
Uyghur Turks prepared Uyghur rice pilaf in Türkiye Diyanet Foundation’s mobile kitchen vehicle to be served to earthquake victims and field workers. The rice, prepared by Uyghur Turks, was distributed to earthquake victims and local staff with the help of volunteers and officials.
Muhammad Emin, an Uyghur Turk from East Turkistan, who explained that they are supporting humanitarian aid efforts in Kahramanmaraş due to the earthquake, stated that they came from Istanbul to the earthquake zone in Kahramanmaras and delivered aid to the victims of the disaster.
Emin noted that they served traditional Uyghur pilaf to earthquake victims and field officials, saying: “We cook Uyghur pilaf with rice, meat, carrots, and raisins. This pilaf is a very famous plate in East Turkistan.
Emin extended his condolences to Türkiye and said, “May Almighty Allah never make Muslims suffer such pain again.
Emin expressed his gratitude to the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation and said, “We served our Uyghur pilaf to our brothers and sisters, which was prepared in Türkiye Diyanet Foundation’s mobile kitchen vehicle. He used the phrase “We thank Türkiye Diyanet Foundation very much for providing us with this opportunity.”
