The Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) has opened water well in Nigeria’s Kano state as part of its “A drop of life” project.
The inauguration ceremony for the Bunkure well and fountain of Kano province was attended by TDV Nigeria’s Representative, Mehmet Savas Eniç, regional chief, Imam, and several invitees.
In a statement, Eniç said that the drilling water well and the fountain were built with the support of the Turkish people.
Stating that the well will fulfill the clean drinking water needs of the villagers, Eniç said, “There is a 10-ton tank in the well. 10 solar panels and a generator at the top of the well will ensure that 16 taps operate without interruption.”
Citizens thanked Türkiye for the aid.
