With more than 700 personnel transmitted overseas, the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) will organize Eid al-Adha activities in 79 countries.
The Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) has been organizing different initiatives for needy people abroad during Eid al-Adha since 1993. Izani Turan, the General Manager of TDV, mentioned in his speech that they have two responsibilities: worship and trust. Turan highlighted that by taking on the entrusted worship of the citizens, they are fulfilling a significant duty.
Turan noted the significant attention TDV received during the 2023 Eid al-Adha, stating, “Around 750,000 shares were entrusted to us, and we were assigned addresses. They said, “Let it be slaughtered in Türkiye, Africa, or Turkish Republics.’ We honored those consigned. There are victims and needy people who long for Eid al-Adha. There
are countries where people yearn for someone to come, open their door, and see meat on their children’s plates.”
Turan reminded that Türkiye experienced a major earthquake last year, stating, “We have always looked after and supported our brothers and sisters there up to this day. Hence, we have consistently supported them through our Qurbani initiatives. That was our responsibility. This year, there is a concern for Palestine. Our citizens wish to donate their Qurbani to that region as well. We are entrusted with those responsibilities there too. With Allah’s help, we will perform this duty with the same sensitivity and dedication.”

Turan, emphasizing three sensitivities while fulfilling the duty of Qurbani, noted:
“The first is the sensitivity towards Türkiye. The second is the sensitivity towards our flag. The third is the sensitivity towards our foundation. Considering these sensitivities, we carefully select and assign tasks to our highly competent colleagues. This year, we are sending 702 of our colleagues to various countries. We will conduct this organization in 79 countries. We will send to all oppressed and afflicted regions, especially our Turkish and Palestinian brothers and sisters.
