Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) Assists 800 Needy Families in Uzbekistan with Food Aid Before Ramadan.

The food aid prepared by the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) for the holy Ramadan was delivered by Mahmut Türk, Religious Services Counselor at the Turkish Embassy in Tashkent, to the officials of the “Vaqf Charitable Fund” under the Religious Administration of Muslims of Uzbekistan and the Uzbekistan Turkish National Cultural Center, in order to be distributed to needy families.

It was shared that out of the 800 food packages prepared, 700 would be sent to the needy in Karakalpakistan, while the remaining 100 would assist low-income Ahiska Turks.

In his statement, Religious Services Counselor Türk explained that, ahead of holy Ramadan, they prepared food packages for 800 families in Uzbekistan to add variety to their tables, contributing to their enjoyment of food, and encourage the sharing of meals.

Mircalal Kasimov, from the External Relations Department of the Vaqf Charitable Fund, mentioned that TDV traditionally offers food aid to needy families in Uzbekistan ahead of Ramadan, and he thanked Türkiye for this generous donation.
