The presentation ceremony for the Albanian-language interpretation of the Qur’an, published in cooperation with the Presidency of Religious Affairs, Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, and the Islamic Union of Kosovo, was held in the southern Kosovar city of Prizren.

Among the many attendees at the event in a city hotel were Cafer Tayyar Doymaz, General Manager of Religious Publications (Diyanet); Naim Tërnava, Head of the Kosovo Islamic Union; and Bünyamin Albayrak, Religious Attaché of the Turkish Embassy in Pristina.

Speaking at the event, Cafer Tayyar Doymaz, Manager General of Religious Publications, highlighted the longstanding commitment of Türkiye’s Religious Affairs Presidency to publishing.

He revealed that the Qur’an has been translated into 38 different languages and dialects, emphasizing the organization’s global vision: “What motivates and guides us the most is the idea that anyone, anywhere in the world — any brother or person — who says, ‘I want to reach the holy Quran, read and understand His Word,’ should never be met with any barriers.” Doymaz added that their ultimate goal is to make the Quran available in every language spoken around the world.

Naim Tërnava, the head of the Islamic Union, thanked the Turkish Presidency of Religious Affairs for its commitment to publishing 5,000 copies of the Albanian translation of the holy Qur’an. He expressed confidence that this number would eventually reach hundreds of thousands, reflecting on the significance of the sacred book:“Between these two covers lies the limitless knowledge of Allah, the Almighty. As human beings, it is our duty to seek to understand its meaning, to grasp its message. Surely, up to now, we’ve only managed to do so in a limited way — but I believe that in the future, we will come to know it far better.”
