Rıza Kayaalp, a national wrestling champion and volunteer with the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV), participated in the Foundation’s Qurbani distribution initiative in Pakistan, helping deliver Qurbani meat to those in need.

The event, held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, also saw the participation of Turkey’s Ambassador to Islamabad, İrfan Neziroğlu, and Religious Services Counselor Abdurrahman Akkuş.

The Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) commenced its Qurbani project in Pakistan, carrying out the Qurbani of 4,500 cattle in 16 designated locations across 14 regions. A total of 31,500 shares are being distributed to the needy.

In Mardan, a district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the Qurbani animals were each examined by veterinarians from Türkiye’s Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, alongside TDV officials, to ensure they met health, weight, and Islamic criteria before being approved for Qurbani.

Donors’ names from Türkiye were announced as Qurbanis were performed per Islamic rituals and distributed to the needy.

National wrestler Rıza Kayaalp, a decade-long TDV volunteer, said:

“Your Qurbani are in safe hands and reaching Pakistan today  the first day of Eid Al Adha.”
