Students from the Quran course in Giresun Espiye district donated 9,500 TL they collected as part of their campaign to the Turkiye Diyanet Foundation to support the drilling of water wells in Africa.
In a statement, Yavuz Kocak, Mufti of Espiye district and Head of the Turkiye Diyanet Foundation Branch, said that students at the Cibril Neighborhood Girls’ Quran Course organized a fundraiser in support of the water well works carried out by the Turkiye Diyanet Foundation with the slogan “A Drop of Life”.
Kocak congratulated students for their sensitivity and that 9,500 Turkish liras were collected and said: “In addition to their education, the Quran course’s students showed a sense of responsibility to the world they live in, which is a sign that our future is in good hands.”
