Under the Qurbani program organized by the Presidency of Religious Affairs and the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV), the slaughter of Qurbani animals has begun in Malawi.
Following the Eid prayer, TDV volunteers and staff moved to designated slaughter areas in the cities of Lilongwe, Chikwawa, Mchinji, Salima, Blantyre, and Mangochi.
The animals selected for Qurbani met all necessary health and Islamic measures.
As part of the “Share Your Qurbani, Get Closer To Your Brother” project, a total of 1,300 cattle representing 9,100 Qurbani shares will be distributed to the needy across six regions in Malawi.
