As part of the “2024 Year Qurbani on behalf Slaughter Organization” coordinated by the Presidency of Religious Affairs and the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV), 800 cattle are being slaughtered in the Central African Republic.
Following the slogan “Share Your Qurbani, Get Closer to Your Brother,” TDV has prepared for Qurbani on behalf slaughters in Türkiye and 79 countries. They will distribute the meat in 20 regions within the capital of the Central African Republic, Bangui.
Within this scope, the TDV team performed dental examinations to evaluate the overall condition and age of the cattle to be slaughtered in the Central African Republic ahead of Eid Al Adha.
At the same time, the team members distributed balloons to the children in the vicinity.
After the team confirmed that the Qurbanies met the standards, the slaughter of 800 cattle, comprising 5,600 shares, began with Muslim butchers following Islamic guidelines.
TDV team leader İbrahim Özkan stated that they arrived in Bangui three days before Eid after a flight exceeding 24 hours with a layover in Türkiye.
After arriving in the capital, Özkan stated that they wasted no time in inspecting the Qurbani cattle and the slaughter site, adding, “Following the Eid prayer in Bangui, we headed to the slaughter area. We are performing the slaughters according to Islamic traditions.”
Özkan explained that they are slaughtering the Qurbanies purchased with donations from Türkiye and worldwide in the capital, ensuring they reach the needy and oppressed. He said, “May Allah be pleased with all our donors. May Allah accept it. Happy Eid al-Adha.”
