Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) has commenced the slaughter of Qurbani in Egypt as part of its 2024 Qurbani on behalf program intended for Palestinians.
TDV officials and volunteers, continuing their operations with the motto “Share Your Qurbani, Get Closer to Your Brother,” have acquired 4,000 cattle animals in Egypt prior to Eid al-Adha on behalf of 28,000 benefactors.
Following health inspections by veterinarians in Cairo, Ismailia, Gona, and Ebusumbul, Qurbanies meeting the required criteria have started to be slaughtered after the Eid prayer.
Throughout the Eid period, the meat of Qurbanies selected for slaughter will be packed and stored in cold storage, ready to be quickly delivered to Palestinians.
Mehmet Bilgin, Advisor to the Presidency of Religious Affairs, noted that they managed the slaughter of Qurbanies entrusted by donors alongside foundation officials and volunteers.
Bilgin mentioned that they began slaughtering the Qurbanies donated by our generous supporters to our siblings in Gaza, Palestine, with each donor’s name being announced. “May Allah accept the worship of all our benefactors,” he said.
