
Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) has provided clothing aid to 650 needy orphans across various regions of Georgia.
In a written statement issued by the Religious Services Counsellorship of the Turkish Embassy in Tbilisi, it was noted that clothing aid was delivered to orphans in Georgia within the scope of the “Orphan Activities and Social Support Project” carried out with the support of TDV.
The statement emphasized that within the framework of the project, each orphan was allowed to shop freely for clothing of their choice at stores located in Tbilisi, Batumi, and Rustavi.
It was underlined that, through this support, the aim was not only to meet the basic needs of 650 orphan children but also to strengthen the sense of social solidarity and brotherhood. The statement added: “Türkiye Diyanet Foundation continues to stand by orphaned children through humanitarian aid and social support activities carried out in various parts of the world.”
It was also noted that the program organized in Tbilisi within the scope of the “Orphan Activities and Social Support Project” was attended by Türkiye’s Ambassador to Tbilisi, Ali Kaan Orbay, and the Religious Services Counsellor of the Turkish Embassy in Tbilisi, Mahmut Göl.
