The President of Religious Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş introduced the Japanese translation of the Holy Quran published by the Presidency of Religious Affairs to the opinion leaders of the Japanese society.
Speaking in the program held at the Tokyo Mosque Turkish Culture Center, President of Religious Affairs Erbaş said that the Holy Quran conquered the minds and hearts before the Muslims had power and conquered the villages.
President Erbaş noted that success in conquering hearts without any belief or philosophy in the world had led to the Holy Quran and the Prophet(ﷺ).
President Erbaş, who read the verse “We facilitated the Holy Quran so that it could be understood”, stated that with this verse, people were invited to take the Holy book as a guide.
“We have translated the Holy Quran into 40 languages as Diyanet”
President Erbaş stated that Muslims for centuries have tried to reach the Holy Quran to distant towns for centuries and said, “As the Presidency of Religious Affairs, we have translated the Holy Quran into around 40 different languages.”
President Erbaş, who introduced the Holy Quran printed by the Presidency of Religious Affairs in Japanese, stated that the translation works started in 2018 and said, “We will strive to deliver the Japanese translation prepared by the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation to the largest number of people as soon as possible.”
