With the slogan “Lebanon Urgently Awaits Aid,” the Türiye Diyanet Foundation has launched a relief campaign to aid the Lebanese people who are struggling due to Israel’s attacks.
İzani Turan, General Manager of the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, highlighted that Israel’s brutality, which has escalated into genocide in Palestine since October 7, is now continuing in Lebanon. Turan emphasized that since September 23, Israel has conducted hundreds of airstrikes on the southern cities of Lebanon as well as the Bekaa and Baalbek regions, killing innocent civilians and displacing hundreds of thousands of Lebanese people from their homes.
Stating that Israel has carried the atrocities in Gaza to Lebanon, Turan said, “Children, women, and the elderly are the most affected by these inhumane attacks. Thousands of people are forced to migrate from their homes and homeland. As the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, we have started to deliver aid to our brothers who are in a difficult situation due to the attacks and lack of life safety. We will be with our Lebanese brothers with the support of our generous nation in these difficult days.”
Reminding that the Lebanese state called for urgent aid due to the intense attacks of Israel, Turan said, “Our country delivered 30 tons of humanitarian aid to Lebanon 48 hours after the attacks with the instructions of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Our officials in the region are currently carrying out our aid work. We have mobilized all our means to
heal the wounds. We will stand by our brothers and sisters who are in a difficult situation with a sense of solidarity and solidarity.”
