TDV distributed Qurbani meat to over 37 million people worldwide in 2025, through 898,450 Qurbani shares.
The 33rd annual campaign, held under the theme “Share Your Qurbani, Get Closer to Your Brother,” delivered Qurbani donations from generous donors to needy people across all 81 provinces and 922 districts of Türkiye, as well as in 81 countries and 398 regions worldwide.
A Bridge of Goodness from TDV to the World
İzani Turan, General Manager of TDV, reported the successful completion of this year’s Qurbani organization, highlighting their commitment to trust and integrity.
Our Foundation, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, has been organizing Qurbani on behalf of our donor programs for 33 years. We are grateful to the Almighty that, once again, we have fulfilled this responsibility with pride, thanks to the trust of our donors. Our dedicated staff and volunteers in blue vests worked tirelessly around the clock throughout Eid al-Adha to deliver every entrusted Qurrbani to its rightful recipients across the world.
Oppressed Palestinians Were Not Forgotten
Turan emphasized that Palestine, once again suffering a severe humanitarian crisis, was not forgotten this year:
“We began slaughtering Qurbani animals purchased in Egypt from the first day of Eid, and the meat was packaged for distribution. It is currently stored in cold warehouses and will be gradually delivered to Gaza as soon as the border crossings open.
We also delivered Qurbani meat to our Palestinian siblings in refugee camps in Lebanon. Once the meat reaches Gaza, a total of 1,185,000 Palestinians will have received support.”
Brotherhood Tables Were Set with Qurbani in 81 Provinces and 81 Countries
Turan shared that after Qurbanies were processed in modern facilities across 6 provinces, TDV teams delivered the meat to needy families across 81 provinces and 922 districts throughout Türkiye.
Abroad, they reached 398 regions in 81 countries.
“In places torn by hunger, thirst, war, and poverty, we embraced hearts with no distinction of race, language, or religion. Along with Qurbani meat, we brought spiritual presents: 45,000 holy Qur’ans, thousands of Eid clothes, and Turkish flags a message of love and unity.”
All Phases Were Executed with Meticulous Care and Full Transparency
Turan confirmed that the entire Qurbani process was conducted transparently and following Islamic guidelines. The names of all donors were individually announced during the slaughter.
He also stressed the vital role of volunteer veterinarians in supporting the process. “We took great care from selecting each animal to the moment of slaughter. We ensured no doubt or negligence affected the shares entrusted to our foundation.”
Approximately 6.5 Million Shares Entrusted Over 33 Years
Turan reminded that the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation has been conducting Qurbani on behalf of donors since 1993.
“In 33 years, a total of 6,307,760 shares of Qurbani have been entrusted to our Foundation. Our Foundation is a leading charitable organization in this field, built on trust and a strong sense of responsibility. The increasing support every year is the strongest indication of the trust placed in our Foundation and the Presidency of Religious Affairs,” he said.
We will keep standing as a source of hope for the helpless and the wronged
Turan thanked all the donors, staff, and volunteers involved in the Qurbani campaign and ended by stating:
“Beneath our crescent and star flag, we will keep nurturing goodness together. This organization allows our people to share their Qurbanies annually with the needy and the oppressed. It deepens their love for our country and keeps their hopes bright.”
