Türkiye Diyanet Foundation reaches over 50 million needy people in 149 countries in its 50th year

Marking its 50th anniversary, the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) reached a total of 50,773,077 needy people across Türkiye and 149 countries in 2025 through programs in education, culture, social and charitable services, support for religious services, and international humanitarian aid.

Operating with the motto “Until goodness prevails on earth,” TDV continued to support the needy and vulnerable with the contributions of donors and the efforts of its staff and volunteers.

During the holy Ramadan 2025, under the slogan “Do Not Forget Your Brother, Hoped for One Is You,” TDV provided food and basic humanitarian aid to 2,156,000 people in 83 countries and 437 regions.

Nearly 39 million people were reached through the Qurbani on behalf of our donors program

Through its Qurbani Program implemented with the slogan “Share Your Qurbani Get Closer to Your Brother,” the Foundation distributed 898,450 qurbani shares donated in 2025 across 81 countries and 398 regions worldwide, including Türkiye.

Qurbani meat reached 37,285,675 beneficiaries, of whom 1,185,000 were Palestinians.

In addition, meat was distributed to 1,744,205 people through donations of oblation, aqiqah, and gratitude qurbans.

Uninterrupted humanitarian aid to Gaza

Under its Palestine Emergency Response, TDV has maintained aid to Gaza through three strategic routes. Aid was delivered through partner organizations inside Gaza, while additional relief materials procured in Egypt and Jordan were sent by trucks as border crossings became accessible. TDV also supported aid shipments from Mersin to Egypt’s El-Arish Port, coordinated by AFAD and the Turkish Red Crescent.

During 2025, TTDV reached 4,487,287 people in Gaza with food packages, hot meals, drinking water, clothing, shelter supplies, baby food, and hygiene kits.

Since 7 October 2023, TDV has delivered 1,305 trucks of humanitarian cargo to Gaza, reaching over 9.15 million people. The cumulative value of aid for Palestine stands at USD 42.6 million.

Aid for crisis-stricken areas

Within the scope of humanitarian aid activities carried out in liberated areas of Syria, food packages, hygiene supplies, cash aid, bread, clothing, and stationery support were delivered to 1,163,500 people.

In Sudan, Yemen, and Rakhine (Arakan), regions affected by civil war and natural disasters, humanitarian aid was provided to 88,523 people.

Water, Orphans, Volunteering, Environment Projects

In 2025, through the “A Drop of Life – Water Wells and Foundation Fountains” project, we brought clean water to places where reaching it is almost impossible. A total of 195 long-lasting wells and foundation fountains were opened in drought-stricken regions, providing 1,395,000 people with access to safe drinking water. Since 2015, 1,690 wells and fountains in 42 countries have continued to serve 11.6 million people.

Alongside these wells, houses of worship were also built, and 10 masjids were opened for prayer during 2025.

With the “If You Neglect Him He Remains An Orphan” project, we delivered financial aid and support in education, housing, and clothing to 36,688 orphans both in Türkiye and abroad.

Through the efforts of the TDV Women, Family and Volunteering Services Directorate, 230,000 volunteers took part in charitable activities and reached 1,446,032 needy people.

Within the “1 Goodness, 1 Sapling” initiative, 80,000 saplings were planted across Türkiye, and TDV Memorial Forests were established in eight provinces.

We also supported the restoration of mosques and Qur’an schools damaged by earthquakes. Through 1,003 branches in 81 provinces, aid, both cash and in-kind, was extended to 506,646 needy people. Permanent works such as mosques, complexes, dormitories, and service facilities also continued to be developed.

For 262 mosques damaged in the earthquakes of 6 February, 381 million TL was allocated, while 69 million TL was allocated for 38 Qur’an courses. Close to 850 million TL was spent in 2025 on construction, repair, and renovation projects in Türkiye and abroad.

Goodness bazaars were held to raise funds in aid of Gaza

Goodness bazaars launched under the slogans “Türkiye Stands By Gaza’s Side”, “We Stand With Free Palestine”, and organized in 81 provinces with the cooperation of mufti offices, TDV Women’s and Youth units, and volunteers, generated revenues amounting to 192 million TRY. The funds raised have begun to be allocated to humanitarian relief and rehabilitation activities in Gaza.

As part of educational aid, 70,264 books were provided to 281 libraries through the ‘My Present Is Book’ initiative, and 95,915 copies of the Qur’an were distributed through the ‘My Present Is Qur’an’ initiative. With these projects and various scholarship and education support programs, approximately 345,000 people were reached in Türkiye and abroad.

Zakat and youth activities

Through the “Let’s Enrich Our Brotherhood By Zakat” campaign, the Foundation received 259,273 zakat donations, amounting to 2.152 billion TL, which was directed toward educational projects, orphan support, and charitable works.

In the field of youth services, 43,780 young people benefited from activities carried out in 2025, while 10,241 students were provided safe and comfortable housing in 46 higher education dormitories affiliated with the Foundation.

Over the course of 2025, the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation continued to increase the impact of goodness, reaching 50,773,077 people in Türkiye and across the globe through its extensive efforts in education, culture, social aid, religious service support, and international relief operations.
