In Gaza, the Selam Yardım ve Kalkınma Association distributed aid packages to needy families in the Israeli-blockaded Gaza Strip with the support of the Turkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV).
Yakub Süleyman, president of the Selam Association, said in a statement that aid was distributed to 1,000 families during Ramadan.
Noting that the aid packages contained iftar rations and food products, Suleyman thanked the Turkish people and the TDV for their support to needy families in Gaza.
Israel has been blockading the Gaza Strip, where nearly 2 million Palestinians live, since 2006.
