The Turkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) provided food aid to families in need in Tunisia as part of its Ramadan activities.
TDV officials from Turkiye distributed Ramadan rations in the Bab al-Minaret Neighborhood in medina, the capital, during a program organized with the Tunisian Social Solidarity Association.
Mohammed Musab Ünalmiş, a TDV delegation, said in a statement that they will provide iftar to 1,500 people across Tunisia this year and plan to deliver 500 Ramadan rations to needy families.
Ünalmış said, “We started the distribution of aid in coordination with Tunisian associations today. Our role is to deliver the consigned of the Turkish people to the sister country of Tunisia. Within the scope of our activities, we aim to reach around 3-4 thousand people this year.”
TDV supports families in need by sending teams to Tunisia every year during Ramadan and Eid-al-Adha.
