TDV commences distribution of Qurbani meat in Burkina Faso

The Presidency of Religious Affairs and Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) delivered Qurbani meat to 65,000 families in Burkina Faso.

TDV’s teams started Qurbani in Burkina Faso within the scope of the 2022 Qurbani on the needy’s behalf Organization organized with the theme of “Share Your Qurbani, Get Closer to Your Brother”.

After the Eid prayers, 12,250 shares of Qurbani meat were distributed from 200 cattle in the capital Vagadugu, 350 in Bobo Diolosso, 350 in Tenko Dogo, 150 in Leo, 200 in Bittou, 50 in Yatenga, 200 in Vrassan and 200 in Tıta were delivered to 65 thousand needy families.

TDV Burkina Faso team manager Muhsin Koçak said that the donors who donated their Qurbani were in the country with a team of 20 people to slaughter their Qurbani and that they would carry out the slaughter in 16 regions and deliver them to the needy during the Eid.

Koçak stated that they will slaughter 3,000 cattle in Burkina Faso for 21,000 shares this year and that they will distribute Qurbani meat to approximately 125,000 needy people.

Koçak stated that in addition to the capital Vagadugu, Qurbani meat was distributed at approximately 850 points in mosques, orphanages, and villages in the cities of Bobo Diolosso, Tenko Dogo, Leo, Bıttou, Yatenga, Vrassan, and Tita.
