Within the scope of the “One Qurbani One Quran” project carried out by the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV), benefactors who will donate Qurbani on their behalf will also be able to present the Holy Quran to the needy.
The copies of the Holy Quran, printed in 40 different languages and dialects, will be distributed along with the Qurbani shares in the 2023 Year Qurbani on behalf of Slaughter Organization, primarily to the needy in earthquake-stricken areas and people who are unable to access divine messages in the form of a ‘Mushaf’ (Holy Quran).
Benefactors can donate 100 TL to present a copy of the Holy Quran through the “My Present Is Quran” category on the foundation’s website “bagis.tdv.org.”
Izani Turan, General Manager of the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation, said that they have been turning the sadness on the faces of those in need into a smile for years with the “One Qurbani One Quran” project.
Turan emphasized that in cooperation with the Presidency of Religious Affairs, they have been continuing to bring food to the tables of the needy through the Qurbani on behalf Organization, which has been conducted without interruption since 1993.
Turan stated that they make efforts to deliver the Holy Quran to those in need through the “My Present Is Quran” program, alongside the Qurbani entrusted by donors. He mentioned that by promoting solidarity and sharing, both through the act of Qurbani and by spreading the timeless universal message of the Holy Qur’an, they aim to reach as many people as possible. They will continue to present the noble Book, thanks to the support of donors, along with the Qurbami donations, to encourage reading and understanding of the Holy Quran.
Suffering will be alleviated by the joy of Eid Al Adha
Turan emphasized that they will prioritize the earthquake-stricken areas and domestic needs regarding Qurbani donations. He stated, “We will make efforts to alleviate the suffering of our brothers and sisters affected by earthquakes and multiply their joy during Eid Al Adha.” To erase the material and spiritual traces caused by the earthquake in the region, we will also deliver the Holy Quran, a present from our benefactors, alongside the Qurbani shares. There had been many requests for the Holy Quran from the earthquake regions. Since the earthquake, we have distributed more than 50,000 copies of the Holy Quran to our brothers and sisters in the region. With the abundance of this organization, we aim to deliver our Noble Book to those in need in the region.”
Turan explained that they would also deliver the Holy Quran to people in different parts of the world who have difficulty accessing it, alongside the Qurbani entrusted. He said, “Our brothers and sisters in impoverished countries face challenges in accessing our Holy Book. Especially in Africa and many other regions of the world, children and adults are trying to memorize chapters and verses by writing them on wooden boards called ‘Louh’ due to the lack of resources. On this occasion, we will deliver the Holy Quran that our brothers and sisters long for as Mushaf.”

Turan reported that within the scope of the “My Presernt Is Quran” project, a total of 1 million 580 thousand 139 copies of the Holy Quran were distributed to 85 countries, including Türkiye, Asia, Africa, the Balkans, and the Middle East. He mentioned that the distribution of the Holy Quran, printed in 40 different languages and dialects, including Turkish, German, Bambara, Chinese, Danish, Dari, Armenian, French, Hindi, English, Spanish, Russian, Samoan, Tamil, Uighur, and Yoruba, is ongoing.
Turan stated the following regarding how the donation of the Holy Quran can be made within the scope of the “One Qurbani One Qur’an” campaign:
“Our benefactor, who entrusts his/her Qurbani on behalf of our foundation, when they donate our mobile application and website, there is a check box there before proceeding to the donation payment or completion section, ‘Would you like to present a Holy Quran with your Qurbani? If the donor selects that option, an additional 100 TL will be added to the regular Qurbani donation fee, thereby completing the Present of the Holy Quran.
