Together with the Diyanet, the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation is bringing the joy of Eid Al Adha to Mali by distributing 41,000 shares of Qurbani meat to needy families.
With the theme “Share Your Qurbani, Get Closer to Your Brother”, TDV has finalized preparations for its 2025 Qurbani on behalf of our donors Program and is set to perform Qurbani in nine regions across Mali, including Gao, Timbuktu, and Bamako.
Within the scope of this year’s campaign in Mali, nearly 5,900 head of cattle will be slaughtered, turning approximately 41,000 shares into blessings for the needy.
Speaking about the organization in Mali ahead of Eid al-Adha, TDV West Africa Regional Representative Furkan Faruk Taze stated that, in cooperation with the Presidency of Religious Affairs, they will carry out Qurbani on behalf of our donors procedures in 378 regions across 81 countries this year.
Taze added that they will be managing the operations in Mali themselves, and said:
With a dedicated team of 25 volunteers and staff, the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation is preparing to perform Qurbani on behalf of Turkish citizens in nine different regions of Mali.
For over ten days, the team has been working diligently, identifying animals suitable for slaughtering according to Islamic principles, and completing health checks and tagging under the guidance of a veterinary expert.
Once the Eid prayer is completed, the meat from the Qurbani animals will be distributed to needy families.
This year, nearly half a million people in Mali will benefit from this charitable initiative, made possible by the trust and generosity of the Turkish people.
We sincerely thank everyone who placed their trust in TDV and wish the entire nation a blessed and joyful Eid.
