Educational support for orphaned students in Lebanon from the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation

Within the scope of Orphan Activities and Social Support Program, the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) delivered school materials to 3,200 orphan students it supports in Lebanon.

Held in Sidon, in southern Lebanon, the event was jointly organized by TDV and the Jeel Sustainable Development Association and brought together Türkiye’s Ambassador to Beirut Murat Lütem, TDV General Manager İzani Turan, Deputy General Manager Fatih Kayacan, along with Lebanese authorities.

Ambassador Lütem reminded participants that Lebanon, although grappling with major economic hardships, was among the first to send aid teams after the earthquake in Türkiye.

He noted that Türkiye will always stand shoulder to shoulder with Lebanon and its people.

TDV General Manager Turan expressed that Lebanese orphan children are never forgotten, declaring, “Türkiye, with the strength of its nation and state, is here for Lebanon and its children.”

Turan stated that this initiative reaffirms TDV’s ongoing commitment to supporting orphaned children.

Enci Atroni, speaking on behalf of the Mayor of Saida, thanked Türkiye and TDV for their valuable contribution to education.

Throughout the program, 3,200 orphan students received educational kits including backpacks and essential school materials.

The event also featured multiple activities, allowing children to spend joyful and memorable moments together.
