AFAD President Pehlivan Visits Diyanet Affairs President Arpaguş
Hamza Pehlivan, President of Türkiye’s Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), visited Prof. Dr. Safi Arpaguş, President of Religious Affairs and Chairman of the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV). According to AFAD’s official social media statement, the meeting focused on evaluating ongoing collaborative efforts between AFAD and the Presidency of Religious Affairs.
Discussions included humanitarian aid operations coordinated by AFAD in regions in need, including Gaza, with support from the Presidency and TDV, as well as joint initiatives carried out under the Türkiye Disaster Response Plan (TAMP). The meeting also reviewed ongoing collaboration in disaster awareness and volunteer programs, including preparedness, response, and post-disaster actions to promote disaster consciousness throughout society.
