
Ramadan packages were distributed by the Turkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) to 1,750 needy families in the West African country of the Ivory Coast.
TDV volunteers delivered the boxes containing necessities such as flour, oil, sugar, rice, and pasta to the needy who gathered in the courtyards of the mosque.
Needy who received the ration boxes expressed their gratitude to the charitable who donated from Turkiye.
TDV Director-General Izani Turan declared that they are conducting Ramadan aid in 83 countries.
Emphasizing that the foundation strives to be there wherever there is an oppressed, poor and needy, Turan said, “We come here to conquer the hearts.”
Turan stated that they made the most effort and care to deliver the global trustees to the needy and added, “We divert Zakat and Fitrah our nation was built on the idea of worship to needy. We are also here to convey the aid of our Turkiye to the people in our heart region and to strengthen our relationship with them.” he made his statements.
TDV volunteer Rap music artist Resul Aydemir, who was in Ivory Coast for Ramadan, also provided candy and Turkish flag balloons to the children of the families gathered to organize their aid packages.
Aydemir took part in the food package distribution and iftar events organized by the Foundation in various regions, where he read hymns and played with children.
