Ramadan aid was relieved to Northern Macedonia from Turkiye and Germany

The Religious Services Consultancy of the Turkish Embassy in Skopje promoted the 2022 Ramadan activities in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, and distributed aid checks and scholarships to needy students.

DITIB and TDV volunteers took part in the event which was organized in cooperation with the German-based Turkish Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (DITB) and the Turkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV).

Religious Services Counsellor Mustafa Mesten told reporters that TDV and DITIB have been carrying out religious and charitable services and humanitarian activities both in Turkiye and in the Turkish-Islamic geography for more than 40 years.

Mesten underlined that they safely deliver the charitable trust to all mankind, regardless of religion, race, or denomination, wherever they are in the World:

“In this context, as the Religious Services Consultancy of the Turkish Embassy in Skopje, we have been delivering food parcels, aid packages, and educational scholarships to needy families and successful students for two days, together with officials and volunteers from our Turkiye Diyanet Foundation and DITIB.”

Stating that they are in the best effort to live the Ramadan climate in Northern Macedonia as advisors, Mesten said, “We will also deliver 1000 Holy Quran in Northern Macedonia as part of the project ‘My Present Is Quran’ of our Turkiye Diyanet Foundation within Ramadan month. Ramadan aid parcel and food shopping check reached 400 households, and a total of 8 people benefited. In addition, 120 students received a 1-year scholarship.” he did.

DITIB representative Yakup Aydın said that DITIB has been carrying out such activities for years and that they will participate in activities in The Balkans this year in Northern Macedonia, Albania, and Kosovo.

TDV representative Abdulkadir Sylka said the educational scholarships are unique to Northern Macedonia and said they are trying to identify different needs there as part of fieldwork.

“During the month of Ramadan, we will try to deliver these consigned to the entire Balkans, starting here in Northern Macedonia, in Kosovo, Serbia, Albania, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina (donors to TDV and DITIB),” he said.
