Turkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) launched the distribution of aid packages for needy families abroad for Ramadan this year from Niamey, Niger.
TDV, which has been carrying out relief activities both in Turkiye and abroad for nearly half a century, delivers the donations collected within the scope of the campaign launched under the theme of “Hoped For One Is You, May Our Brotherhood Be Blessed with Zakat” in coordination with the Presidency of Religious Affairs.
Some of the aid boxes prepared with donations from Turkish citizens living in Turkiye and Germany were distributed by the Turkish Islamic Union of TDV and religious Affairs (DITIB) to the needy families in the southern part of Niamey.
TDV aims to reach nearly 1 million people this year by distributing 153,586 food packages, 114,000 iftar rations, and 13,000 Bairam clothes in 273 regions in 83 countries as part of its Ramadan activities launched from Niger.

TDV Deputy Director-General Abdurrahman Çetin, who participated in the aid activity in Niamey, said that they will carry out Ramadan activities simultaneously not only abroad, but also in every province and district in Turkiye.
Saying that they will conduct Ramadan activities in 83 countries except for Turkiye this year, Çetin said, “We gave away the start of Ramadan’s aid campaign from Niger. We’re going to have about 3 packages in this country. Of course, there’s another beauty here. We organized this project with the Northern Rhine Vestfalya Essen State Union.” he did.
Emphasizing that they strive to live the blessing of Ramadan in all geographies, Çetin said:
“We will hopefully achieve the Ramadan climate in the best way here inshallah with the support of our noble nation. This is the country where the world’s youngest population is. That’s why we started here. We wanted to send a message to our young people from here. We started from Niger to dominate the goodness on earth. Our nation makes these children smile. As Turkiye Diyanet Foundation, we are mediating this goodness. With our Presidency of Religious Affairs, we strive to keep this Ramadan climate alive in the best way.”
