During Eid al-Adha, the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation will distribute 13,300 shares of Qurbani meat to needy families in Afghanistan.
Within the framework of the 2024 Qurbani on behalf organization, the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) is actively pursuing its preparations in Afghanistan.
Orhan Faysal Başaran, TDV’s coordinator in Afghanistan, shared significant details about the preparations leading up to Eid al-Adha.
Başaran emphasized that the process of selecting Qurbani animals is being meticulously conducted. Başaran explained, “As part of the 2024 Qurbani on Behalf program, we are currently in Afghanistan to distribute the Qurbani animals entrusted to us by our valuable donors to our needy brothers and sisters. We are meticulously conducting the selection process of Qurbani animals under the supervision of veterinary professionals, focusing on health and religious standards. Following the selection of Qurbani animals, we will proceed with their slaughter from the first day of Eid al-Adha and ensure delivery to the needy.
Başaran mentioned that the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation aims to distribute 13,300 shares of Qurbani meat in Afghanistan this year, specifying, “In Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, we will deliver 550 shares; in Herat, 350 shares; and in Mazar-i-Sharif, 1,000 shares, totaling 1,900 Qurbani animals to our needy brothers and sisters.
