In Gaza, where Israeli assaults have left widespread destruction and an ongoing humanitarian crisis, the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) has been actively providing aid without interruption since October 7. As one of the first organizations to operate inside Gaza through local NGO partnerships, TDV channels aid through three key routes: locally purchased supplies within Gaza, cross-border deliveries from Egypt via Rafah, and sea shipments sent from Mersin to Egypt’s Al-Arish Port under AFAD coordination.

Ensuring daily access to hot meals and safe water

Since October 7, TDV has maintained humanitarian aid operations in Gaza, regularly supplying food, safe water, clothing, shelter, medical supplies, hygiene kits, medicines, medical devices, and maternal and infant care products. So far, 79,350 food packages and 21,550 hygiene kits have been delivered. A total of 1,545,834 people received hot meals, 680 tankers (3,400 tons) of drinking water, and 2,295,000 bread portions were distributed. Additionally, 16,000 mattresses, pillows, mats, and blankets, together with 2,200 tents, were supplied to vulnerable families. Hospitals were supported with 50,000 liters of fuel, 50,000 individuals benefited from medicines and medical aid, while 173,790 families received cash aid. Emergency bags and wheelchairs were also distributed.

926 humanitarian aid trucks dispatched to Gaza

Including Ramadan and Eid al-Adha aid programs, a total of 7,746,424 humanitarian relief packages have so far been delivered across Gaza. On a daily basis, TDV continues to provide 3,000 hot meals and 15 tankers (75 tons) of clean drinking water. With these efforts, the overall aid supplied to Gaza has reached 926 truckloads. Within the scope of TDV’s Emergency Relief Operations for Palestine, the total humanitarian aid delivered amounts to 34,922,029 USD (approximately 1.396 billion TRY). Despite the ongoing genocide in Gaza, TDV has reaffirmed its commitment to continuing humanitarian efforts without interruption, thanks to the support of benevolent donors.
