TDV reached 6,222,561 beneficiaries with humanitarian aid throughout the holy Ramadan

Within the scope of the 2026 Ramadan relief program carried out in cooperation with the Presidency of Religious Affairs and the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV), under the theme “Do Not Forget Your Brother, Hoped For One Is You,” aid was delivered to millions of needy people across Türkiye and 86 countries.

Throughout holy Ramadan, a total of 6,222,561 people benefited from aid activities both domestically and abroad.

In Türkiye, 3,945,650 individuals were reached.

As part of domestic relief efforts, TDV distributed a total of 456,175 shopping cards worth 2,000 TL each to the needy, including 142,241 cards provided by the Headquarters and 313,933 by foundation branches.

Additionally, 238,297 food packages entrusted to TDV as in-kind or conditional donations were distributed to beneficiaries during Ramadan. Furthermore, 21,460 Eid gift cards were delivered to those in need, of which 3,940 were allocated to earthquake survivors affected by the February 6, 2023, earthquakes.

The “Goodness Tables” initiative provided iftar meals to hundreds of thousands of beneficiaries.

In the capital Ankara, an iftar meal serving approximately 2,500 people daily was prepared at the “Goodness Table” established in the courtyard of Kocatepe Mosque. These meals were also delivered, upon request, to youth centers, universities, and various other locations in addition to the mosque courtyard. As a result, a total of 72,500 people benefited from iftar meals in Ankara during the holy Ramadan.

Across the country, a total of 272,000 people were provided with iftar meals at “Goodness Tables” established by TDV branches. In addition, youth iftar programs were organized in 12 provinces, while student iftars were held in five cities with a high number of scholarship students. Special iftar programs were also organized nationwide on March 5, World Orphan Day, and March 13, the anniversary of the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation.

During Ramadan, travelers who were unable to reach iftar due to traffic were also supported. The TDV Headquarters distributed 20,000 iftar packages in Ankara, while TDV branches delivered 65,000 packages to travelers across the country.

Additionally, 25,000 copies of the Holy Qur’an were distributed nationwide throughout Ramadan.

Approximately 4 million people received humanitarian aid across Türkiye

Within the scope of Ramadan activities, a total of 3,945,650 people were reached in Türkiye through humanitarian aid. Of these, 847,500 people were assisted directly by the TDV Headquarters, while 3,098,150 people benefited from aid activities carried out through TDV’s 1,003 branches.

Abroad, support was extended to 2,276,911 people.

As part of its international relief operations, the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) distributed food parcels, shopping cards, Eid clothing, iftar meals, and copies of the Holy Qur’an across 86 countries and 442 regions.

During Ramadan, 226,542 food packages, 46,226 Eid clothing items, 1,097,975 iftar meals, and 5,140 shopping aid cards were delivered to those in need.

In total, 2,276,911 beneficiaries received assistance through international humanitarian efforts.

In the Haramain region, 11,250 iftar meals were provided during Ramadan, including 9,000 in Makkah and 2,250 in Madinah.

In Gaza, humanitarian efforts continued throughout Ramadan to help address ongoing needs and hardships

The Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV), which has been conducting intensive emergency humanitarian aid in Gaza since October 7, continued its relief efforts during Ramadan.

In Gaza, “Goodness Tables” were established, and iftar meals were distributed to displaced people living in tents. A total of 595,180 beneficiaries received support through daily iftar services serving 20,000 people.

Additionally, 9,500 Eid clothing items and 19,000 food parcels were delivered to those in need. Following the destruction of three mosques in airstrikes, tent mosques were set up to enable communal worship.

In the West Bank, 500 Eid clothing items, 1,000 iftar meals, and 3,000 food parcels were distributed.

The distribution of the Holy Qur’an was carried out, and water wells and foundation-sponsored water fountains were inaugurated

Alongside its Ramadan humanitarian aid programs, the Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) distributed 63,000 copies of the Holy Qur’an in six languages across 38 countries under the “My Present Is Qur’an” initiative.

The foundation also commissioned 18 water wells and foundation fountains, as well as six mosques, in eight countries. In addition, through 10 projects implemented in eight countries, food, clothing, and stationery services were provided to 3,980 orphans.

Through its extensive Ramadan activities, TDV continued to strengthen humanitarian bridges extending from Türkiye to various regions of the world.
