The Türkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) has inaugurated a mosque in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, Nigeria. The opening ceremony was attended by TDV officials from Türkiye, local dignitaries, and members of the Muslim community.

After Quran recitations and prayers, the mosque officially began serving as a place of worship. Designed to be a central hub for both religious and social activities, it is expected to play a key role in the spiritual and communal life of Muslims in the region.

Alongside the inauguration, TDV conducted Ramadan aid programs, distributing food packages to 400 underprivileged families in Ibadan and nearby areas. Each package contained staples such as rice, flour, pasta, and oil, intended to help families meet their essential needs during the holy month.

TDV representatives noted that, with the support of Turkish donors, the aid activities will continue in various regions throughout Ramadan. They further highlighted that the efforts foster solidarity and reinforce brotherhood between Türkiye and Nigeria.
